A complete set of kitchen knives in a 9-slot crème white wood block with a matte aluminum base: chef's knife (8" blade), Santoku knife (6½" blade), carving knife (6" blade), straight carving fork (6" tines), bread knife (8" blade), serrated utility knife (5" blade), paring knife (3½" blade), peeling knife (2½" blade), and 10" honing steel. The ergonomic crème white handle design was developed in consultation with professional chefs and is accentuated by the fluid shape. The precision forged blade, double bolster (between the blade and the handle and at the end of handle), and tang are married to the incredibly durable Hostaform-C handle, triple-riveted to the fully-visible tang. Use the peeling and paring knives for paring, peeling, trimming, and dicing fruits and vegetables. The utility knife's serrated edge cuts easily through sausages without tearing the casings and is also excellent for slicing tomatoes, fresh rolls or bagels, or your favourite hard salami. The carving knife is used for carving hot or cold meats, turkeys, hams, and roasts, assisted by the carving fork, as well as cutting sandwiches. The chef's knife is used for cutting, chopping, slicing, and dicing fruits, vegetables, meat, and poultry. The Santoku knife's granton edge blade is just right for sushi and sashimi, slicing mushrooms or anything else that needs to be sliced paper thin, mincing ginger, and scoring meat and fish. The bread knife's serrated edge slices effortlessly through crispy baguettes and crunchy bread. The honing steel is essential for keeping your knives in top condition.
